Social Media Specialist

Vitamin T is looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities. The goal is to gradually achieve superior engagement, website traffic and revenue by strategically managing all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

Responsibilities
• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
• Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action:
o LinkedIn
o Twitter
o Facebook
o Snapchat
o Google+
o Pinterest
o Tumbler
Knowledge and understanding of content curating from the following:
o YouTube
o Flickr
o Instagram
o Pinterest
o RSS Feeds

• Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community by
• Manage trending hashtags and customize content to each social network
• Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
• Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
• Collaborate with other departments (admissions, placement, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Requirements
• A portfolio demonstrating professional social media experience (Ex: social calendars, social strategy example, screen shots of social feeds, etc.)
• Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
• Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrable social networking experience, social media management (Hootsuite, Everypost, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.) and social analytics tools (Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.) knowledge
• Salesforce experience a big plus
• Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
• Knowledge of online marketing, good understanding of major marketing channels and knowledge of marketing automation (HubSpot, Infusionsoft, etc.) tools
• Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
• Proficient MAC user; Adobe Creative Suite (Production Suite), InDesign/PS and or Dream Weaver user
• Basic knowledge of HTML, and Word Press required (able to communicate with developers, understanding deliverables and goals, not coding)
• BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations or related experience preferred
• Fluency in English
