Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will have primary responsibilities of content production, publishing and community management across the social media platforms. She/he will oversee the creation of content for our social media channels that fulfill campaign objectives while maintaining a consistent and unified brand voice. The Social Media Specialist will create and manage the Publishing Calendar and posting of content. They will report on key performance metrics and analytics to senior management.
Additionally, this role will assist in project management and execution of key marketing strategies and tactics to support brand and new product initiatives.  We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and personable individual whose highly involved and very passionate about the fitness, health, and wellness.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions 
• Grow our reach and followers through quality copy and content, daily strategic community engagement and campaigns targeted at growing our channels organically.
• Identify and connect with influencers and amplifiers in our space to create content that help to expand our reach.
• Monitor social communities daily and respond/reply to followers as appropriate. Seek out relevant social conversations and trends to engage with.
• Work with customer service team to share responsibility for ensuring responses to customer comments, issues and conversations are handled in a timely manner
• Ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks
• Track analytics, create weekly and monthly reports, and provide insights on content and campaign performance
• Identify and implement post scheduling tool to manage a heavy daily schedule of video, image, and article based posts across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.
• Writes marketing copy for electronic communications (e-mail, website, etc.).
• Constantly staying on top of trends and developing exciting and appealing content while attracting new and current customers to continue to follow our brand.
• Participates in “creative concepting” for marketing and collateral materials from idea development to delivery.
• Work with senior management to develop an annual social media & community strategy
• Analyze the social media landscape for our brands as well as our competition, and refine strategies and tactics based on what’s working and what’s not

Experience Requirements 
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the social platforms and their respective audiences; experience implementing best practices on each
• Experience with Google Analytics and social media analytics tools
• Successful management of paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and Twitter
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Apps, Excel, PowerPoint (Premiere pro and After Effects is a plus)
• Resourceful and skilled at online research
• Active participant in social media with your own personal accounts
• Ability to multi-task on different projects with different requirements. 
• Ability to set clear goals and quantitatively measure them
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A skilled communicator, collaborator, and relationship builder.
• Excellent written and visual communication skills
• Able to thrive and prioritize in a fast-paced, self-starter environment
• Superb organizational and problem-solving skills

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing and or/Public Relations
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working at a marketing/PR/social media agency or in-house social media team, preferably with a focus on consumer products.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing social communities online, with proven track record of organic social growth
• Portfolio of relevant work
