Social Media Moderator

The Fortune 500 retail client is seeking a talented Social Media Moderator. This is a 6 month contract position.

The Social Media Moderator will serve as the day-to-day engagement and conversation specialist for our social media properties – primarily Twitter and Facebook – within a 15-minute SLA using third party tools. Solve customer service issues, enhance the overall image of the company through direct personal engagement with the customers and promote current offers/deals.
S/he will be accountable for engaging with customers and prospective customers day-to-day. S/he will represent the brand by fostering dialog and sharing information about the organization. S/he will work with internal teams to maintain a calendar of proactive communication along with monitoring and managing conversation as it develops. The Social Media Moderator will also serve as a voice to help to address member concerns, complaints and issues. Below is an overview of the specific responsibilities that will fall under their area of responsibility:

Requirements:
o Customer service oriented
o Strong marketing background with the proven ability to think socially
o Assist in the development of a communication outreach plan to deliver upon agreed-upon strategies
o Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
o Ability to communicate personably with large variety of individuals
o Posts will vary significantly in content – must be able to communicate variety of information succinctly and clearly and in a conversational manner.
o Passion for social media with extensive knowledge of Twitter and Facebook specifically
o Willingness to be available 24/7 for emergency outreach
o Team player
o Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
o Understanding of our brand and products and customer profile
