Social Media Marketing Specialist

We’re looking for a social media ninja.

The Social Media Marketing Specialist plays an important role within the Marketing Delivery group.

You will support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive profitable membership growth, retention, and engagement for the business by leveraging the best in social media to get it done. You will be a thought leader around emerging technologies and proven experience using social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter to meet specific business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Owns the development of Social Media Strategy and Roadmap
• Leads and drives development of all social media campaigns and ensure they are measurable and sustainable
• Reports out on milestones and performance of programs that are in flight
• Develops pilot programs and strategies to operationalize those programs if they are successful
• Leverages metrics to optimize future social media programs
• Manages agency relationships related to social media programs
• Presents new ideas and opportunities in the social media space
• Helps to evangelize social throughout the marketing organization
• Advise on appropriate marketing, sales and customer support participation as necessary
o Own the social media calendar
o Supports the coordination and monitoring all social media activity across the company
o Manages vendor relations: works closely with vendors to ensure exceptional creative, measurement, and results
• Actively engages with our customers online as needed throughout our various social media channels.
• Owns and evangelizes Social Media Guidelines to ensure consistency of voice and strategy

Education/Requirements:

• A BA/BS in a related field such as marketing or business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 – 10 years of marketing experience with at least 4 years in social media.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment with competing priorities.
• Must be a strategic thinker who is also willing and able to roll up their sleeves and execute to get the job done and not wait to be told what to do.
• Must be passionate about emerging technology and customer-centric.
• Knowledge of how to leverage emerging and traditional marketing channels to develop compelling integrated campaigns.
• Experience driving social media marketing campaigns from start to finish.
• Experience working with third party vendors and agencies to facilitate program development.
• Excellent cross-functional team, project and organizational skills with attention to details.
• Keen awareness of the latest in technology and how to best leverage for marketing programs.
• Understanding of the principles, best practices for emerging tools and techniques including marketing analysis and research tools including tools like Radiant 6, WebTrends, and Google Analytics for monitoring and measuring performance.
• Must be adept at developing social media marketing programs that deliver to business objectives.
• Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and/or milestone requirements.
• Analytical and quantitative skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
