Social Media Marketing Assistant

Reporting to the Social and Digital Marketing Manager

The Social Media Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in supporting our social communities overseen by our franchise partners for the company.

IMPACT & SCOPE: Supports the franchisees in the monitoring and maintenance of social media and digital experiences in partnership with franchisees across the globe.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Primary relationships are with franchise partners and members of the Strategic Alliances Marketing team.


• Adapt and deliver global social strategy
• Review and approve Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/other content calendars for all franchise partners
• Advise and influence social media advertising for all franchise partners
• Work closely with brand partners to educate on brand guidelines and social media engagement best practices
• Monitor pages on a regular basis to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and provide feedback directly to
• Report and analyze social media results for guidance on improving performance and brand alignment
• Manage digital assets – uploading, organizing, and sharing assets via content management system
• Coordinate review and approval of locally adapted digital assets
• Partner with graphic designer to localize digital assets for partner, e.g. edit ad deck, adjust assets
• Manage scheduling process of blogger partnerships onto global platform


Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to tasks. Minimal instruction on routine work. Ability to manage own work and balance competing priorities. Proactively looks for more efficient ways to get the job done.


Performs independent problem solving for most work. Decisions will be escalated to line manager where required for attention and resolution


Knowledge, skills & abilities:

• An understanding of social media and digital media within a retail environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized
• Proactive and detail oriented, with a keen sense of urgency
• Active in social networking, with a passion and interest in the ever-evolving social space
• Self-motivated and takes initiative

Minimum experience:

• Retail marketing experience
• Social media advertising knowledge or execution
• Experience working across cultures is a plus
• Demonstrated success in cross-cultural literacy and working with virtual teams
• Proven experience owning and implementing projects

• Experience managing multiple priorities, while working under strict deadlines
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, InDesign, Photoshop
