Social Media Marketer

A software company is looking for a Social Media Manager Contractor to help maintain and expand their Social Marketing efforts, with a large focus on content creation and audience engagement. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both foster engagement with current customers as well as and convert new audiences. 40 hours week in Palo Alto (no remote working options).

Responsibilities:
• Grow and maintain the company's social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram & Google+
• Create shareable Paid and Organic content appropriate for each network to both raise brand awareness and ultimately drive new leads
• Listen and engage—or assign internally for engagement—in relevant social discussion about the company, its competitors, and the industry
• Develop & run ad-hoc social promotions and campaigns such as Twitter chats, Google+ Hangouts, LinkedIn conversations
• Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach target customers
• Provide monthly reports and analysis on the efficacy of the company's social programs

Qualifications:
• BS/BA required; preferably with a focus on Marketing or Communications
• Minimum 3 years of social media experience
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of individual social networks and their best practices
• Experience using Adobe Social or equivalent Social CRM tools
• 10-15 Copywriting samples (at least 1 sample per channel)
• Comfortable with Excel
