Social Media Manager (Beauty/Fashion)

AQUENT is supporting a global beauty (lux) brand in their search for a Global Social Media Manager! This is a FT Freelance opportunity with no end date (ongoing) in NYC.

The Social Media Manager will manage the social media channels for Fragrances, bringing to life the voice and luxury lifestyle of the brand. The Social Media Manager will develop social content at a global and local level, supporting launches and key franchises through social campaigns, as well as liaise with the brand’s fashion house and Fragrances digital teams in key markets to ensure global and localized content is engaging and on-brand. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for global social strategy, social communications planning, calendar reviews, social media publishing, digital project management, as well as social monitoring and analytics reporting.  

Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy:

  • Understand SM algorithms and base strategy off new trends/changes

  • Reviewing insights and analytics; strategy based on findings

  • Help create global social media strategies and programs (paid and organic) for all brands.

  • Align with global market teams to coordinate local market activations

  • Collaborate with PR and Marketing teams to develop the social media strategy for

new product launches and key moments in time

  • Manage strategy for Fragrances-owned properties (Facebook); submit

content suggestions for brand’s Corp-owned social channels (YouTube, Twitter,

Pinterest and Instagram) per ongoing communication strategy; identify and strategize

opportunities on new and emerging platforms for competitive analysis

  • Provide expert knowledge in social media strategy, content creation, execution and

performance metrics

  • Work closely with the brand’s Corp social team to ensure that digital content

continues to be on-brand and best-in- class

  • Partner with PR to communicate consistent messaging on social channels for influencers

and spokespeople

  • Maintain relationships with reps from key social platforms to ensure the brand is utilizing the

best and most up-to- date products and strategies

  • Create and manage ongoing editorial calendar for owned channels as well as borrowed

channels that aligns with overarching communication strategy

 

Content Creation:

  • Manage external social agency from briefing and concepting to final delivery of assets

for global and local assets

  • Coordinate review and approvals with internal stakeholders as well as with the brand’s

Fashion.

  • Manage the final execution of social content. Share all available social images with

local markets to activate boosting campaign. Post all content to Facebook, including

geo-targeted posts in approved languages as requested by markets.

  • Manage the Facebook Content Calendar and associated photoshoots (to be approved

and validated by the brand and licensor)

 

Digital Project Management:

  • Help manage agency relationship for all digital content production by serving as day-to-

day contact for feedback and approvals

  • Ensure that necessary stakeholders review and provide feedback for digital assets across

various franchise of Fragrances

  • Closely track timelines to ensure that deadlines are being met to successfully complete

projects
 

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and background in social media management – including content

creation and successful digital programs  

  • Previous experience (3-5 years) managing social media for a global brand—strategizing

and executing social content at the global level, plus working with local markets on

localized content

  • Excellent writing, proofreading and copy-editing skills (writing samples upon request)  

  • Ability to create beautiful marketing materials (Powerpoint) and deliver compelling

presentations

  • Project Management experience

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders (Global Marketing, PR, Corporation, Key Local Markets, Corporate Social Intelligence Teams)

  • Strong relationships with key social platforms

  • Expertise in weaving social content into a full digital media plan

  • Beauty and/or luxury experience a plus
