Social Media Manager

In collaboration with web project managers, product marketing managers, Marketing Director, and other executives, the Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing social media strategy. The Social Media Manager’s daily duties include (but are not limited to) posting unique and engaging content, adhering to production deadlines for social media campaigns, creating paid “boosted” posts via Facebook and manage content for style, grammar, tone and brand consistency. The Social Media Manager must have professional writing skills and work with the marketing team to brainstorm and create paid media initiatives to promote the company brand, authors and products and grow the assigned social channels.

This is a full-time, onsite, contract-to-hire role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that raises visibility and traffic across all company brands, including strategies for channel selection, engagement, target audience followers, and content development.
• Create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns
• Manage internet marketing and advertising on regular and social media sites, including ad placements and evaluation/analysis of online advertising opportunities.
• Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
• Compile report for management showing results (ROI).
• Oversee and recommend appropriate budgets for social media campaigns.
• Collaborate with and train content contributors and maintain cross-platform editorial calendars.
• Monitor comments on Facebook and Twitter, responding to and addressing customer inquiries.
• Participate in special projects, or other duties as assigned.
• Research and report on techniques, trends and industry news related to social media marketing.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Hires, leads, develops and manages performance of social media staff (perhaps one eventually).
