Social Media Manager

We are looking for a Social Media Manager for a local marketing agency! This is a 40 hour/week contract for 2 months to start.

The Social Media Manager plays a critical role helping lead and manage social media programs. This role is responsible for executing strategic, customer-facing campaigns to build awareness and education while fostering dynamic social communities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in program planning, campaign management and event execution.

This person needs to have experience with social media listening tools and reporting, knowing how to both set up the tool, mine for insights and deliver concise and actionable reporting. This role will require experience working with consumer brands, especially retail/ecommerce.

If you’ve built content or messaging frameworks and know how to identify influencers as well as managed an editorial calendar, you could be the right fit!

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations, managing campaign activities and coordinating with client and partner stakeholders
• Primary contact for planning, coordination and execution of editorial and campaign work across social media programs
• Develop tactics to target top audience segments, verticals and personas
• Develop and manage a set of metrics that clearly measure program performance
• Manage accounts across core client channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Partner with editorial, creative and other key teams to bolster efforts across social media

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience leading integrated social media programs for national or global brand; experience with technology or enterprise audiences preferred
• Ability to manage and interact with multiple online communities and audiences
• Experience managing integrated, cross-channel campaigns, including coordination with other digital, print and offline components
• Strong organizational skills, idea-driven and self-motivated
• History of anticipating issues and the skills to be strategic, proactive and assertive
• Intrinsically collaborative attitude, while still decisive and able to articulate rationale
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple priorities, manage to deadlines and flourish under pressure
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate good personal judgment, and exercise a commitment to ethical and transparent conduct
• B2B marketing experience required
• Experience with technology or enterprise audiences preferred; experience with developer, IT professional or ITDM audiences preferred
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with social listening, CRM and CMS tools
