Social Media Manager

Our Fortune 500 client in Carmel, IN is seeking a Social Media Manager for a 4 month, on-site assignment. This position will be focused on planning, creation, management and analysis of content for social media to align with marketing and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies and plans that facilitate and are integrated with the organization’s strategic goals
- Craft content that supports business strategy and goals
- Write for, contribute to, manage and grow Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and other social media presences, and continuously evaluate additional platforms and tools that may support goals
- Monitor social media groups, trends, tools and applications, and recommend actions
- Work closely with creative, marketing and cross-functional teams to develop and post content
- Create and obtain content for the web site and social media platforms
- Identify industry influencers and bloggers to connect with on social media platforms
- Set, track and report on meaningful metrics to evaluate success
- Develop strategies and respond to social media scenarios
- Maintain social media editorial calendar
- Report insights gained from social media monitoring to internal stakeholders


Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing/English/Communications degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience – digital content experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven history of social media account management with clear and effective strategies to build networks
- Familiarity with web analytics and tracking methodologies
- Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to write successfully for the web (driving traffic, building engagement and optimizing user experience) Independent and quick learner with exceptional attention to detail
- Effectively collaborate with others to achieve high-quality deliverables
- Self-starter demonstrating excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills; adapting quickly to changing priorities
- Strong understanding of online consumer behavior
- Strong understanding of digital marketing campaign methodologies and principles (e.g. PPC/SEO, social, email, paid media, etc.)
