Ongoing Freelance Social Media Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the brand digital, editorial content and social media driven marketing efforts for luxury jewelry company. The individual will be responsible for the strategic development, management and execution of social strategies and a key contributor to the success of expanding business with a focus on building strategic alliances and brand awareness. This position requires an individual who is able to manage multiple stakeholders and also creatively manage resources and multiple projects. S/he is a high-energy team player that can think strategically and use his/her strong knowledge of social media marketing along with an analytical and measurable process for execution. S/he will have a passion for current digital trends and possess strong business acumen.

Responsibilities:
Strategy
• Update and execute a global social strategy to support and drive increased customer engagement, brand advocacy, content marketing, community building, campaign activation, and management across earned, owned, and paid social media
• Lead social media efforts for the brand and managing all platforms, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and explore opportunities with other platforms and new technologies

Editorial/Content
• Represent the voice of the brand in the digital and social space, engaging in dialog with our members, partners and fans across key demographics and create brand awareness and push company into what is new and happening within the Social/Digital space
• Strategize and collaborate with our global creative teams to develop content and innovative and creative tactics to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and interact with our social followers, while overseeing editorial calendars to support marketing, PR and sales objectives

Influencers/PR
• Develop evangelists for the brand in conjunction with PR & Communications team; target writers, bloggers and online media leaders in the space with opportunities for cross promotion and engagement on website, Facebook, Instagram and other mediums.
• Collaborate and maintain close relationship with cross-functional teams to maximize reach of social media effort

Analytics/E-commerce
• Actively monitor social media accounts and track engagement metrics to measure success of campaigns and identify opportunities
• Leverage third party analytics platforms to prepare performance reports
• Manage effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media programs on a global scale
• Research emerging trends and opportunities to enhance content and social media activities and brand presence in a meaningful way

Third party
• Evaluate potential third party social media partners and provide recommendations and feedback, and manage relationships within the industry
• Serve as contact for digital innovation and social media efforts with current and future agencies
