One of our valued clients in the oil and gas business is seeking a Social Media Community Manager for a long-term, contract role onsite in Irving, TX.
This position supports the strategy and content creation of corporate social media channels, including, but not limited to, the current blog, Twitter, and YouTube channels as well as redefining the use of LinkedIN to include additional corporate issues content.
The position involves development of content for each channel, engaging internal consensus and working with external vendors including the company's social media strategy agency. Position will be responsible for providing ideas for content improvement in all channels. Position will manage the relationship with internal stakeholders and external agencies. Including how to make content applicable, relevant, and approved for posting.

Social Media Community management and growth
Manage updates to social media properties
Potential to moderate and respond to comments
Establish a consistent community culture and tone
Analyze the online conversation, advocate strategy and use of content, including images and video
Interact with senior level management, staff, and agencies to promote integration of content
Analyze community insights and spot trends
Work with Digital Media Coordinator to set editorial calendar for various channels

Basic Qualifications/Needs to:
Understand the role that social and digital media plays in the company’s communication mix
Have a solid understanding of how social media tools work
Have the experience in managing the social media presence for a corporate or public affairs client and professional experience managing communities on sites such as LinkedIN, Twitter, and YouTube.
Have a solid understanding of online outreach and engagement and experience and initiative in developing appropriate online engagement strategies.
Have exceptional writing skills.
Experience with content improvement.
Experience with metrics-reviewing results of strategy.
Be proactive and highly motivated; demonstrate the ability to work independently to achieve objective as part of a team.
Provide sound counsel and be comfortable providing editorial recommendations.
Position should be able to execute the publishing of content through the channels
Work well under pressure.
A Bachelors Degree plus at least 6-8 years managing social media strategy at the corporate level

The position is an onsite, contract position within Public and Government Affairs at the Irving, Texas location reporting to the Digital Media Coordinator.
