Social Media Manager

This Fortune 500 Company, known for financial software, seeks a Social Media Manager to join their Marketing team for a 9 month contract (with the opportunity for extension).

The successful candidate has a demonstrated track record creating and executing social media strategies and tactics and a deep understanding of leading social networking platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram). You must be a self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities, lead projects independently and work effectively across the organization. Experience in community management, social measurement and using data to optimize performance is a must.

Job Responsibilities:
• Create and execute social media strategies and tactics for our flagship brand in Canada.
• Create high quality and engaging social media content focused on news, product launches, etc.
• Grow, manage and engage our online community and partner with Customer Care to resolve customer questions and dissatisfaction
• Collaborate and maintain close relationships with cross-functional teams to maximize reach of social media efforts and ensure alignment across channels and teams
• Write, schedule and track posts, aligned to overall brand voice and business priorities
• Manage social media analytics to quantify and qualify effectiveness of social media content and campaigns and to provide regular reporting to the business
• Plan and assign social media boosting and advertising budgets

Qualifications:
• Must have 5+ years of directly relevant experience
• Ability to think big and propose innovative strategies to maximize reach and engagement
• Strong writing skills, with a good grasp of tone and appropriate professional online communication
• Must thoroughly understand social media best practices for multiple platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) including analytics and how to optimize this content to generate the best results
• Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize, and have strong project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented, ability to work with a wide range of internal departments.
• Must be highly organized, results-oriented and flexible
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience

Additional Skills:
• 5 years experience – tactical, hands on and understand analytics behind platforms, will write copy and social posts.
• As admin of page- need person to be able to pull analytics e.g., in FB analytics
• Publish from Adobe social; analytics layer
• Work cross functionally with: SEO team, senior marketing managers, community managers; help resolve issues with customer care by exercising empathy
• Type of posts: tips for users; understand consumer behavior; be creative with content.
