Our client, an amazing animal foundation located in Burbank, CA is looking for a Social Media Manager for a contract position! You must have 2-3 years experience with a large volume account, 1,000's of followers, and doing lots of maintenance on the account from community management to coming up with all content! The good news? Lots of ideas are already generated, as well as upcoming events, and you even have a staff photographer to take photos for you when you have something specific in mind! Pay is up to $26/HR!

The Social Media Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing social media strategies, content creation, publishing, and community management for the animals and gardens! In order to cultivate brand awareness, you will be generating inbound traffic to the web site and other social media platforms, execute campaigns that are integrated with the overall advertising and marketing efforts, build a social media referral network and ultimately, drive attendance and revenue. This role is part of the internal Marketing team and reports to the Marketing Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Monitor, update and grow the social media networks including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Vine
• Conceptualize and implement social media content strategies and campaigns
• Write and edit content for social media channels while maintaining the editorial calendar
• Actively and sensitively engage followers, moderate commenters and respond to customers on a daily basis to cultivate a loyal and connected fan base
• Analyze, interpret and report on social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns to guide strategy and implementation of new campaigns
• Plan and execute influencer events to generate organic positive word-of-mouth
• Monitor external review sites such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, Viator, etc. to ensure destination descriptions are accurate and complaints are addressed
• Coordinate with internal staff on a comprehensive, integrated content strategy
• Design visual content including backgrounds, headers, profile images, etc.
• Produce photographic and video content for use in social media
• Implement and manage social media contests and promotions
• Attend evening and weekend events to generate social media content in real time to support a dynamic and interactive social media presence

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in social media management
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Social Media, Communications, Marketing or Journalism, or related field
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Vine, etc.) and the appropriate utilization of each to reach different objectives
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
• Exercise superior judgment in tone and quality of communications with our audience. Respond sensitively to objections from commenters
• Ability to anticipate and prevent problems; ability to craft workable solutions to problems that arise
• Willingness to work as a team member, including supporting events execution, working evenings, holidays and weekends as needed
