This company is looking for a social media savant to lead our social media strategy, content development, and execution. As our social media team is small, this individual should be willing and comfortable wearing the multitude of hats required to execute social media at a growing brand. It’s fundamental that this individual has experience leading a social media strategy and process. They should be an independent, self-starter comfortable both leading and guiding our current social media manager, as well as rolling up their sleeves to help with execution of content. From authoring a well-versed social media strategy to drafting tweet copy, you should have a hunger to grow our social communities and a can-do attitude to make it happen. Individual should have a clear understanding of best practices for each social media channel, and how to quantitatively measure performance and impact on the business initiative. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop a social compliment to the larger marketing and communications objective. The social content should be developed with best practices in mind and to the specs needed for each platform. As social changes on a weekly, and even daily basis, this individual should bring a strong, proactive, informed voice and opinion to the new technologies, trends, and tools on social. You’ll be responsible for reporting on performance and analytics across social channels to our exec team on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

Strategy development: Help us define what social media’s role is for our team, including channel by channel strategies, objectives, and KPIs.
Process Development: Help us build and grow scaleable social processes. Experience writing briefs, and explaining a strategic social media vision is required.
Content development: This individual should be comfortable developing content that’s right for social; working with both existing assets, while ideating, briefing and planning new social specific campaigns.
Editorial social calendar management: It’s fundamental for this individual to come in and build out a social calendar that can be shared and distributed across the team on a regular cadence.
Creative: You’re a multimedia storyteller, with a love for the written word and an eye for good design.
Analytics: Individual will be responsible for reporting on social media performance on a weekly basis; having a general understanding of Sprinklr and Google Analytics is preferred.
Crisis Response: During times of a hardware or software crisis, individual will need to work with PR & Support to draft clear and appropriate messaging to share on our social channels and with our social care team.
Community & Team Management: You will oversee team of one social media & community manager, and help guide our larger team of dedicated social support community managers who are responding to social inquiries on a daily basis.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Serve as a social media expert across our marketing team; ensuring that social media has a strategic purpose, and direct impact across our marketing initiatives and larger business goals.
Cultivate a process and quantifiable best practices for generating social content that is reflective of the larger marketing calendar on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Collaborate with advertising team, creative, legal, etc. to help ensure social needs are met necessary to hit our goals.

Requirements:
BA degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business, or related field.
4-6+ years of experience leading and managing social media strategy and execution at a brand or agency; overseeing department budget and agency/client relationships.
Experience at a fast paced, fast moving work environment.
A passion for storytelling through multiple media types, both visual and written,
Strong understanding of social media channels and strengths of each, content development, and social analytics.
Ability to translate complex ideas and strategies, into a clear and simple vision to be shared across the team.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills and ability to form effective partnerships across cross-functional teams - brand, creative, PR, legal, support, store and analytics.
Entrepreneurial, outgoing self-starter with ability to work independently.
Strong understanding of key trends within the social, digital, and content spheres; bringing a well-versed POV to the table when required.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive programs to successful closure.

Nice to Have:
Comfortable writing copy for social posts, and giving guidance on copy to our current social media manager, and to the larger social support & community management team.
An eye for design, and the ability to give guidance on social content requirements with our creative team.
Understanding of Photoshop / Illustrator to be able to resize and adapt assets for our social channels when needed.
Understanding of Sprinklr, Google Analytics, Opal, etc.
