JOB DESCRIPTION:
Social Strategist
The Social Strategist provides strategic insight to develop social programs that deliver on business objectives. This role will help connect the dots between objectives, strategies and executions to ensure best-in-class social execution that delivers for the business. The Social Strategist collaborates closely with key stakeholders inside Whitespace and across ANPD and external partners to build strategic social plans that are integrated, effective and work within ANPD social media policy. This role will also look beyond social media to understand the integration of social into the broader ecosystem and the implications of decisions made in the social space.

Strategic Vision. You have visibility to the bigger strategic picture, understanding the impact that the integration of social has to the broader ecosystem and the implications of social related decisions.
Strategic Thought Leader. Able to process a wide range of information and able to translate objectives, data, etc. into insights + strategic recommendations that reflect a holistic understanding of and an appreciation for a brands ecosystem beyond just social media.
Executive Presence. An ability to concisely summarize thoughts into recommendations and comfortability with presenting those recommendations to WS and brand leadership.
Leader. Able to deal with ambiguity and balance the requirements of your job while providing direct reports the guidance to enable them to learn/grow under your leadership.
Team-Player. You are willing to help the team and welcome a challenge, even when beyond your core job description and can effectively communicate solutions and recommendations.
Self-motivated. You’re able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a time with autonomy while understanding the right time and right information to elevate to manager.
Proactive. You anticipate opportunities or challenges and take action appropriately.
Collaborative. You welcome sharing and receiving knowledge and ideas with others.

Responsibilities
Acts as key strategic steward for the brands they work on
Collaborates with Community Strategist to leverage community insights in developing social plans and recommendations
Strategic partner to IMMs/Brands/Agencies
Social launch project owner
Oversight for content development
Oversight for reporting
Leads development of key social insights
Monitors and interprets social trends and platform updates
Assists with social media training for the organization
Builds and maintains relationships key internal and external partners
Education:
BS preferred, but not required
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in digital/social media preferred
Excellent communication skills
Cross functional business experience
