Social Media Engagement Manager

Our client is requesting a contractor talent to serve as a Social Media Engagement Manager within the firm’s Marketing and Communications department. The Social Media Engagement Manager will lead programs designed to prominently position the firm's Employees, Senior Leaders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within social communities both internal and external to the firm. This position is primarily responsible for leading social media influencer programs aligned to strategic business thrusts by collaborating with business partners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include:
• Counseling employees, leaders, and SMEs on social media best practices, guiding their journey towards establishing a social brand and gaining social influence
• Identifying relevant social communities and influencer networks; enabling and nurturing connection and communication
• Proactively identifying opportunities for influencer engagement and facilitating communications
• Optimizing and amplifying influencer activities across channels by collaborating with digital marketing, media relations, internal communications departments
• Refreshing and maintaining social media management guidelines, policies, and rules of engagement for social media
• Defining key performance indicators and implement enterprise-level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success. Work with business partners to track and measure programs to understand influencer visibility, reach, and effectiveness. Report on effectiveness and share across the organization.

The contractor will be aligned to the Digital Communications team within the Marketing and Communications department and report to the Manager, Social Media.
Successful candidates will be detail-oriented communications professionals with expertise in the social media space and an understanding of traditional corporate communications. Those with strong interpersonal skills and tested proven? sound judgment will thrive in this team environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years of social media experience within corporate communications or agency environments
• Proficient with social media monitoring / listening tools
• Quick study with the ability to lead programs independent of oversight
• Ability to effectively shift between the strategic and tactical domains
• Deep understanding of content curation and social relevance as it pertains to digital content strategy
• Skilled collaborator with the ability to sell their ideas throughout the enterprise
• Technically proficient
