Social Media Copywriter

Our client is seeking a strong copywriter who understands the social media and digital space (not so much events and/or printed collateral), preferably with a background in the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating written work that is aligned with the brand voice and messaging outlined by the marketing team. If you’re passionate about the small details, overly organized and excited by the opportunity to work collaboratively on creative projects, then you just might be the next Social Media Copywriter for our client. 

Job Description: 
Required Skills: 
• Demonstrated ability to write for the web space (social media, blog, marketing emails, optimized copy for website landing pages, etc.) 
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of proper grammar, punctuation and syntax 
• Working/Advanced knowledge of website content and social media channels (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, et al.) 
• Working knowledge of social media trends and behaviors in niche and national communities • Ability to become proficient with social media engagement and other data analytics tools 
• Experience with CPG (food industry preferred) 
• Experience with MAC iOS 
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook) • Working knowledge of html and basic site structure
• Experience with CMS (Drupal preferred) 
• Experience with CRM 
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or Dreamweaver a plus 
• Photography or photo styling/direction experience a plus 
• Strong judgment, decision making, project and time management skills 
• Ability to manage multiple demanding initiatives concurrently and work with minimal supervision • Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills, with extreme attention to detail skills (i.e. perfectionist) 
• Social perceptiveness, critical thinking skills, inductive and reasoning 
• Strong creative vision, originality, innovation and business acumen 
• Ability to collaborate with others and communicate concepts with team members 
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs 
assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction 
• Ability to manage multiple demanding initiatives concurrently and work with minimal supervision
