Social Media Coordinator

Our client is seeking a temporary social media expert to join their team. This position will be responsible for tactical execution and measurement of social media efforts. Objectives include supporting digital priorities, growing social media footprint and engagement, as well as driving traffic, awareness and repeat usage of category television programming and websites.
The candidate must have a demonstrated record of performance-based success in social media, including strengths in community management. Entertainment and food background are a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders (e.g., Digital, Marketing, PR, Business Development, Ad Sales, etc.) to:
• Manage social media editorial calendar, including gathering, writing and scheduling content
• Monitor and moderate social media conversations about Food Category brands
• Identify opportunities for brand-appropriate engagement
• Report back on successes / opportunities for improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Active and engaged participant in social media
•Savvy and knowledgeable of social media trends and innovations
•Solid understanding of digital content, communication and marketing principles
•Understanding of social media and digital metrics
•Deep understanding of social network structures with experience using social media tools to effectively communicate and build relationships
•Proven track record in social media activation and community management
•Superb verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively with consumers, in-house stakeholders and outside vendors
•Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage/execute multiple ongoing projects
•Strong management and teamwork skills
•Solution oriented/ problem solver
•Complete familiarity MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
•Active listening skills

Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of social media and / or online communications experience preferred
