Social Media Consultant

Strategic Project Consultants provide strategic marketing direction for cross-functional initiatives impacting Client's current and/or prospective customers and members. Strategic Project Consultants are responsible for the following: synthesize data and marketplace information to determine the appropriate marketing strategy and experience for each initiative; position the project and communicate the approach via a marketing plan; identify required marketing resources; ensure the seamless integration and execution of marketing deliverables across all marketing channels (i.e. web, collateral, RFPs).

Essential Functions:
• Drives 2-3 major marketing projects concurrently
• Evaluates and analyzes data to inform the strategic marketing direction for each initiative
• Develops and communicates the marketing strategy (writes the marketing plan, documents the customer/member experience, presents the strategy to stakeholders)
• Assembles the marketing sub-team and drives the execution of the strategic direction, determining the best use of marketing resources to launch a project
• Serves as a subject matter/technical expert to Consultant
• Represents project work to the Marketing Director and other Marketing leadership
• Responsibilities impact the achievement of key functional and/or KP objectives that have direct and significant business impact
• Involves a high degree of interpretation and analysis of complex and sometimes inconclusive data
• Exercises considerable judgment to make decisions for less defined and complex issues
• Requires complex decision-making
• Develops solutions to a diverse range of complex problems, which require creativity and innovation within broadly defined policies and practices
• Requires in-depth analysis to identify and recommend new solutions for more complex problems
• Requires ability to use data to determine appropriate marketing strategy and direction
• Provides professional/technical guidance to team members
• Influences others to buy into new concepts and methodologies
• Engages in matters requiring coordination across functional lines
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
• Work is accomplished without considerable direction
• Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives and performance requirements have been met
• Provides on-going coaching, enabling team members to develop and improve skills and capabilities that support the effectiveness of the department and/or function
• Serves as a technical/professional mentor to team members
• Provides performance input and recommendations to management for development/training plans and/or performance reviews
• May have supervisory responsibilities
