Social Media Community Manager

Location: Reading (potential home & London office)
Salary: up to £35,000 depending on skills and experience
Duration: 12 months

A large global tech brand based in central London is looking for a Social Media Community Manager to work within a centralised social media team within marketing operations.

The purpose of this role is to engage with the customers and maintain the relationship between the customer and client through social media.


Responsibilities:

Manage an active presence on all social channels for your audience
Owning the Social Media activity calendar for your audience/s
Create micro-content, as well as suggest/plan key social campaign content;
Responsible for social media coverage at 1st and 3rd party events;
Work with Audience Marketing Managers (AMMs) around social promotion for events
Be the main point of contact for social media for your audience across the business – you own how other Microsoft groups engage with your audience/s;
Ongoing social listening & outreach processes
Participate in subsidiary editorial governance meetings
Providing input on new communities/forums etc
Work with the social media analyst on tracking, reporting, analysis & insight generation
Be an expert on Social Technology tools (e.g. Visible, Sprinklr);
Providing input for new 3rd party channels where we can engage in more traditional marketing activities

Key requirements:

To be successful, you will have proven experience in social media marketing. You will have managed social channels and executed a robust and impactful programme that drove audience, engagement and business results.

Successful individuals will have high energy and passion and a commitment to delivering excellence, as well as a pulse on social trends and a hunger to innovate.

Ideal candidates will be flexible, adaptable with a friendly, open and informal writing style as well as a ‘can do’ attitude and great cross-group collaboration skills. You will have technical aptitude and be able to engage with the developer community on technical subjects, such as how to port an app to store.


You will work with the key stakeholders to work on editorial plans, build communities and reporting on the stats from social media trends. You have a proven technical background having knowledge of development within the apps space and a background within social media and digital space as well as being passionate about technology.
