Building Location: Reading

Release Comments: Our client is seeking a Social Media Community Manager to work within a newly formed team that is centralised around social media and marketing operations. They are there to engage with the customers and maintain the relationship between the customer through social media.

They will work with the key stakeholders to work on editorial plans, build communities and reporting on the stats from social media trends. They will work with the Corp products teams and partner teams to educate the business, as well as working with Peers to share best practice.


They will have a proven technical knowledge as well as a background within social media and digital as well as ideally having worked within media channels. They will be an excellent networker and be confident at writing.

- Pushes the Boundaries

You will be working within a team of 5 and will need to be able to work on all levels and be empathetic, confident and be comfortable as part of a social and fun team. You will be able to be impactful and be able to translate the value of what they do to the business.

The Social Media Community Manager will focus on 3 areas:

• Strong social media channel management – leading with creation and curation of innovative micro-content to grow the audience base and exceed engagement levels
• Work with the channel editors to drive the voice of the brand outside our owned channels (i.e. 3rd party channels) – building the ecosystem and working with the Evangelists and PR to solidify influencer contacts
• Leverage social media listening to inform content and engagement strategy

How to be successful

To be successful, you will have proven experience in social media marketing. You will have managed social channels and executed a robust and impactful programme that drove audience, engagement and business results.

Successful individuals will have high energy and passion and a commitment to delivering excellence, as well as a pulse on social trends and a hunger to innovate.

Ideal candidates will be flexible, adaptable with a friendly, open and informal writing style as well as a ‘can do’ attitude and great cross-group collaboration skills.
