Social Media Community Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver a global social media content and channel strategy, editorial calendar and campaigns, and social media best practices for maximum reach and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Contribute to humanizing the engineering teams with a focus on building connections online between our engineers and customers.
  • Develop, implement and project manage social media activity across social channels. Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure program effectiveness.  Obsess over customers and how they engage across social platforms.  Own (develop & execute) the paid and organic social media strategy and campaigns across social platforms
  • Work with engineers and other content providers to produce and secure all content required for social media campaigns, including video, articles, message posts, etc.
  • Actively participate with users online and in-person, manage day-to-day activities in social networking sites including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and other emerging social channels and community sites, posting and seeding content as needed.
  • Manage relationship with strategic partners to build cohesive social media campaigns. Partner with global marketing teams, global subsidiary managers, PR, retail stores, and engineering managers to align editorial and event calendars and to ensure social asset alignment and on-time delivery in global regions.
  • Actively “listen" to the social media community on a daily/weekly basis, analyzing and interpreting results to drive social media campaign optimization to ensure impact and business results.
  • Be a passionate advocate for our followers ensuring we give them the most relevant, engaging and “worth their while” content via our channels.
  • Plan and drive key events like regular webcasts, podcasts, retail store events, and events at conferences
  • Track and report social media metrics and sentiment against goals, be agile to changing social media landscape, and align the content strategy and engagement tactics accordingly.
  • Monitor trends in social, digital and mobile media and exploring new tools, trends and applications that could positively impact our business.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in relevant field.
  • 5 years’ experience in social media management
  • Proven history of developing creative social campaigns
  • Possess first-hand practical knowledge of social media and web communities with prior experience creating and publishing content across a range of social media platforms.
  • Industry experience in both technology/engineering and communications/marketing.
  • Hands on experience with Social Media Management tools like Sprinklr, OPAL, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for multiple audiences including customers and the press.
  • Ability to effectively partner with and influence engineering teams while managing complex internal cross-group relationships and external customer relationships in an ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment.
  • Ability to creatively engage with consumers through social media ensuring maximum reach and impact
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and creativity, and can be a thought leader within the team.
  • Successful Brand Channel Management experience - overseeing content and growing advocate engagement across owned social channels (FB, YouTube, Twitter, etc)
  • Ability to empathize with customers with a curiosity to truly understand their needs.  Should be able to interpret customer insights/data and translate it into actionable business results
  • Be self-sufficient, organized, and pay attention to details to successfully manage multiple deadlines with effective follow-through on all initiatives.
  • This role has a high degree of visibility and requires someone with strong executive presence that can communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Has experience with event/initiative ideation and design, video production, live streaming and in person events.
