Communication Specialist: Social Community and Content Manager

Description
Our client's Corporate Communication team is seeking a high-energy, organized, Social Community and Content Manager to help launch and build followership for a new suite of parent-focused social media properties. The Community and Content manager will be responsible for planning, creating and posting content across a variety of social channels, as well as monitoring and managing responses to users who engage with us through our owned channels.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of social media platforms including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest. He or she also must have strong writing skills and the ability to shape stories and coach subject matter experts in writing content that supports our messages and corporate story. This individual must be self-motivated, resourceful, able to work well individually and collaboratively, and have proven success managing several projects at once. Ideally, we are seeking a mom or dad with blogging experience and a social following who wants to work with us to share information and build relationships between social parents and our family of companies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience with social and/or digital media
• Proven success managing multiple projects at once, working quickly and meeting deadlines
• Resourceful, self-motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Extensive understanding of social and digital media
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Knowledge of the mom/dad blogger space
• Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• May require working some nights and weekends

This is a contract position, which may be full or part time, requiring frequent contact with our New Brunswick, NJ office. We will consider a virtual candidate with the right experience.
