Social Media Analyst –Job Description
The role of the Social Media Analyst is to analyze activity on all corporate social media channels including engagement with content and campaigns, general questions, feedback, and customer complaints. The Analyst will leverage key insights from this data to assist the digital team in enhancing this F500 financial brand and improving the customer experience overall. This individual will work closely with the Director, Social Care Business and Intelligence and the Senior Manager of Social Intelligence to assess and achieve KPIs for corporate and its LOBs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Analyze data and assist to develop test cases/POCs
• Form data-based conclusions and implement solutions
• Test/measure changes in engagement; identify trends in community interaction
• Run weekly/monthly analytics reports
• Maintain weekly team calendars and invites
• Run master decks to ensure version control
• Coordinate external vendor meetings
• Handling intake for service bureau, including tracking and prioritization
• Light administrative and ad hoc requests as needed
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Must have strong project management and analytical skills; an ability to work autonomously
• Must possess a passion for Social Media and internet marketing industry
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Must be flexible and able to switch focus to different projects when business demands change
• Able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong follow up, attention to detail, and ability to execute projects from conception to completion
• Ability to investigate/research information needed for projects and present analysis and solutions
• Strong proofreading and writing skills are required with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with all levels within organization
• Must be able to translate Social Media data to determine ROI
Education & Work Experience required
• Bachelor’s in Business, Communications, or Marketing from a four-year college or university
• Must have 1-2 years of professional Social Media and analytical experience in corporate or agency environment
• Experience working in Social Media marketing and management platforms
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Mac, and PC
• Must be able to learn new technologies and become the power user
