Social Media Ad Manager

Vitamin T is seeking a Social Media Ad Manager!. This person will work with cross-functional agency teams to develop paid social recommendations designed to meet the goals provided in briefs from client/planning teams. This person will be responsible for working closely with vendors to provide “best in class” program recommendations, negotiate paid social media contracts, create IOs, measure, track and analyze in conjunction with the Digital Project Management, Trafficking and Analysts Teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop comprehensive strategies for increasing engagement, followers, or other objectives such as video views, in a paid social media capacity.

· Take the lead on new business digital projects as needed.

· Measure the impact and effectiveness of various communication channels and formats using quantitative and qualitative media metrics.

· The Social Media Strategist recognizes that each client has their own goals and budget and that social media is not a one size fits all platform.

· Passion for social media, an innovative understanding of marketing and forward thinking are vital to this role.

· Responsible for managing the daily boosts and promotions, working collaboratively with each client’s assigned content strategist and community manager.

· Managing the daily, monthly, and yearly budgets of each client’s social spend budget.

· Knowledge of managing dark post or unpublished page post campaigns for specific shopper marketing, promotional, or other campaigns.

· Stay on top of changing social landscape by networking, meeting and building relationships with new social vendor partners, etc., understanding the benefits between working with different vendors and be able to clearly provide strategic rationale for all social vendor recommendations

· Collaborate with all department heads on proposal development and planning so that recommendations are fully integrated.

· Communicate effectively and present to clients and agency counterparts.

· Take a proactive role in the education of members of the account team on social media marketing and best practices. This requires staying on top of trends and working with our representatives on obtaining access to new beta products as they become available.

· Advise the brand account teams managing social properties on the latest developments and best practices for social media related to their brands’ goals, and monitor to ensure proper implementation and results.

· Collaborate in the execution and reporting of social advertising campaigns with the Digital Analytics Team.

· Must be an innovative, strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to jump into the mix by making recommendations, offering new ideas and asking questions.

· Excellent communication and writing skills are critical.

· You must work well in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to make quick decisions that fit the framework of the overall strategy.

· You must be willing to work on weekends and in off hours if a post needs to be boosted.

· Responsible for maintaining up to date weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

· 2+ years advertising experience.

At least 1 year of experience working in a digital environment.
Must be a self starter with strong leadership skills
Experiencing building digital media or social media plans, buying and implementing.
Experience writing and selling in proposals/plans for social marketing efforts.
Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with many different people, internally and externally.
Solid working knowledge of digital disciplines including, but not limited to Facebook, Facebook Power Editor, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ad Interface, Pinterest Ad Interface, YouTube/Google/SEM Interfaces. Experience with, Simply Measured, and Sysomos is a plus.
Ability to effectively articulate a persuasive point-of-view with clients’ best interests in mind.
A constant learner that has a desire to figure things out -- reads industry blogs, books, etc.
Team player with a positive attitude.
