Social Media & Digital Marketing Consultant

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Consultant plays an important role within the Marketing Delivery group. This role is a combination of digital marketing guru and social media ninja.

You will support the execution of multichannel marketing strategies and plans through effective cross-channel, integrated marketing campaigns that drive profitable membership growth, retention, and engagement for the business. You will be an early adopter of emerging technologies and have a keen interest and experience using social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter to meet specific business objectives. You will also be adept at leveraging traditional online channels to develop exceptional marketing campaigns.

Social Media Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Social Media Specialist to develop social campaigns that are measurable and sustainable.
 Assists in maintaining the social media calendar.
 Supports the coordination and monitoring all social media activity across the company.
 Manages vendor relations: works closely with vendors to ensure exceptional creative, measurement, and results.
• Provides input into building and executing on the annual Social Media strategy roadmap.
• Actively engages with our customers online as needed throughout our various social media channels.
• Supports, augments, and adheres to our Social Media Guidelines to ensure consistency of voice and strategy.

Digital Marketing Responsibilities:

• Provides insights into best practices for digital marketing.
• Supports the publishing and execution of online content consistent with campaign and product cycle timelines.
• Manages the SEO/SEM vendor relationship to ensure we meet our annual goals.
• Provides input into building and executing on the annual Search strategy roadmap.
• Supports the design and development of online marketing assets (display ads, email, landing pages, etc.).

Education/Requirements:

• BS/BA plus a minimum of six years of marketing experience. At least one year in a health insurance environment a plus.
• Keen awareness of the latest in digital and social media technology and how to best leverage for marketing programs.
• Understanding of the principles and best practices for both traditional and emerging tools and techniques including tools like Radiant 6, WebTrends, and Google Analytics for monitoring and measuring performance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop social media programs, email campaigns, display ads, and SEO/SEM.
• Experience working in large, highly-matrixed companies.
• Excellent cross-functional team, project and organizational skills with attention to details.
• Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and/or milestone requirements.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
