A fabulous opportunity exists for proven online community manager to join this global not-for-profit organisation, within the Marcomms department to build and create engaging online communications all focused on increasing awareness for a very good cause, developing advocates and of course raising funds.

Spanning all social channels, you’ll manage the relevant communities inline with the broader digital engagement strategies and ongoing conservation objectives. From creating high quality rich content to managing and moderating the main website, blog and supporting platforms you’ll be in a position to positively contribute and influence community actions.

Online Community Management positions such as this, especially within an organisation that’s been responsible for so much change and support with regards to conservation and climate change efforts really are rare so if you’re interested then be quick!

In this role you’ll be interacting with a whole host of stakeholders from various departments, sourcing and searching topical information and content in order to identify potential opportunities to stimulate and engage the online community further.

You’ll be very much the brand guardian, the social media monitor, the subject matter expert in this position as many will be looking to you to provide sound strategic advice as to the what why and how social things are best done in order to reach their desired goals and outcomes.

Anywhere from risk management, trend analysis and insight recommendations through to monitoring and media influence its all down to you so if you’re ready to take the next step in your Social / Community management career and you’re really passionate about making a positive change to the planet then this one’s for you.

You’ll have the pleasure of working in a fantastic new office space with probably the nicest bunch of people you’re ever likely to encounter in the work place, and if that’s not enough you can confidentially say that what you do for a living has a positive impact on the planet!

Now before you start reaching for the ‘contact’ button because this job is something that you would ‘love’ to do, there are a few minimum requirements that need to be confirmed in the first instance. Firstly this role requires so much more than just gaining Facebook likes. You need to be able to confidentially present at least a good couple of years strong social / community management and moderation experience already, in a live environment where you would have been on the receiving end of both positive and negative community interactions. You’ll know how to manage an emerging social situation in the appropriate way, you’ll have already worked across many different types of stakeholder groups, and you’ll be confident in presenting why social plays such an important part in a broader strategy because lets face it, not everyone knows.

You’ll know your way around a CMS or two, have some basic HTML and database management skills and be able to draft optimised content from an SEO perspective. If you’ve got those boxes ticked then hit that 'contact' button right now! The future of the planet depends upon it!
