Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a talented social media & content specialist to join the marketing team for one of NSW most influential governmental departments. This is an exciting, busy and diverse role that will give you the opportunity to take the next step in your career, whilst making a real difference within the community.

About Job

Working as part of the social media team, you will be working on engagement projects that fall in line with the content & social strategy to inform, engage and entertain a diverse demographic of stakeholder across NSW.

Working as a key member of the wider marketing team reporting directly into the Social Media Manager, you will help build a truly local, loved and a strong brand, creating and distributing engaging, memorable content and driving community traffic to the main website and content hub.

Ideal Candidate

You will have a true passion for content and social media with an ability to demonstrate a unique flair and style in your writing.

Your primary responsibility will be centred around engaging with and growing the active community of stakeholder (via social, content and EDM) through external social channels therefore prior experience within a related role is essential.

Requirements

Impeccable communication and writing skills
Passionate about building approachable, warm, valued brand
2-3 years experience of agency-side and/or client-side consumer facing roles -- building brands’ social presence
Experienced with all aspects of building, sharing and distributing social media content -- posts, tweets, memes, vines, videos, gifs etc across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
Content marketing skills (write EDM, Newsletter copy and demonstrate understanding of tone and style)
