Site Merchandiser I

My client is looking for a Site Merchandiser for a 2 month contract role with possibility of conversion to a permanent role with their Fashion Marketing team. You would be part of a collaborative team that sits and works together. Your work will be somewhat different than normal day to day site merchandising. This work will be more project based. You will receive work from various managers within the department. You'll participate in weekly meetings with your managers to receive the project scope and to go over specific expectations for the week. You will create campaigns that go live on the site. The campaigns will be tailored to what the team's goals are for the week. You will create the content and then optimize it based on the reaction they get from the customers.

You will be responsible for driving a best-in-class customer experience, helping to drive sales in this fast-growth .com business. Specifically, you will be responsible for optimizing the onsite experience for maximum performance, leveraging iterative testing and data analysis, building email campaigns, and ensuring content quality. The Site Merchandiser also serves as a primary customer advocate within the .com business and will partner with cross-functional teams within Softlines and across the business as a whole to further improve the shopping experience for the customer.

**Previous experience as a Site Merchandiser is preferred.

**You will need to know how to do pivot tables and vlookups and manage Excel data files. You will also need to have experience creating customer facing content.

**Hard end date is 6/29 but there is a high chance of conversion.

**Basic understanding of XML and SQL is preferred.

**Managers are looking for people with a Bias for Action, who Deliver Results. They want contractors who ask a lot of questions to get up to speed and who are fast and efficient with their work. They want people who will take the directions and ask follow up questions rather than waste time.

**Interviews will be 1 phone screen, possibly 2.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
3+ years of experience designing and executing highly visible email marketing campaigns
Experience using Excel to analyze large data sets
Proficiency with HTML, XML and SQL
A knack for learning new software and analysis tools
Experience with analytics and tools such as Omniture and Coremetrics
Demonstrated ability to define and successfully deliver complex projects with superior ROI—from business case development through deployment
Ability to manage ambiguous problems, build solutions, and drive project completion
Demonstrated experience using hard data and metrics to measure performance, determine improvements and optimizations, and support project requests from partner teams
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects
Ability to successfully manage outside vendor relationships
Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills
Experience communicating and presenting to senior management
