Site Merchandiser - Home Improvement

Our Client's Home Improvement marketing team is looking for a clever and experienced go-getter with stellar communication skills, analytical muscle, and a desire to create a best-in-class customer experience through site and email content creation. This individual will help to drive category growth by developing, executing, and automating customer-centric marketing campaigns across a multitude of traffic channels.

The ideal candidate will be innovative and team oriented and will appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly shifting priorities. This person must be comfortable operating with considerable autonomy to execute tasks in a timely manner and to a high degree of quality. S/he will understand how their work impacts business goals and will successfully support those goals while protecting the integrity of the customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:
•Optimizing content for maximum performance through frequent testing and data analysis
•Driving data quality projects
•Building and scheduling campaigns (site and email), providing performance metrics, always seeking to improve
•Working with other business teams to identify and make significant changes to site features and experience
•Conducting regular testing of new merchandising tactics, documenting the results and sharing best practices
•Identifying opportunities for content efficiency and automation and working cross-functionally to implement them
•Optimizing online traffic growth from multiple sources including, direct, SEO, sponsored links, banner ads, affiliates, mobile, and email
•Working with vendors and vendor managers to create on-brand, best in class content, tailored to appropriate customers


Basic Qualifications
•BA/BS preferred
•Proficiency in Excel and XML
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent presentation and account management skills
•3+ years’ experience of online retail, merchandising, and marketing strategies, or other relevant experience that highlights your ability to deliver results, learn new skills, and emerge as a leader in whatever you do


Preferred Qualifications
•M.B.A. preferred
•Proven track record of managing and optimizing online traffic growth from multiple sources including, direct, SEO, sponsored links, banner ads, affiliates, mobile, and email
•At least 5+ years of online retail merchandising, campaign and content creation experience
•Facility with SQL (basic queries), proficiency with HTML, CML, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn Amazon’s in-house tools quickly
•Experience in tools or home improvement industry is a plus but not required
