Site Analytics Marketing Mgr

Our client, an eBay company, is seeking a world-class web-marketing guru with a focus on Site Analytics, Testing, and SEO to join the Marketing team. The ideal candidate will work with Marketing, Design and User Experience to create site analytics dashboards and reports, A/B and multivariate test plans, and turn data sets into actionable recommendations and high-impact business outcomes.

You will work hand in hand with the Online Marketing Manager and other Marketing team members to create organic traffic and sales conversions through multiple “non-paid” marketing approaches. These will include SEO programs including content creation and development, outreach to bloggers and other authority sites, and working with the Communications team for the social media and PR channels.

Responsibilities
• Identify and implement innovative SEO strategies.
• Perform information gathering, including technical website analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis.
• Optimize on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in the major search engines, this includes html, page layout, and navigation considerations.
• Test and track landing page optimization and other conversion strategies
• Define A/B/MVT test scenarios and success metrics.
• Perform content maintenance and updates on a CMS environment.
• Control naming conventions and linking conventions of web pages, images, and other files.
• Monitor, review, and update web site traffic and behavior reports in SiteCatalyst, including site conversions and funnels
• Monitor and report on monthly campaigns and statistical analysis
• Help internal clients define web channel goals and key drivers, and create reporting dashboards.
• Responsible for creating best practices and educational materials for our internal users.

Job Requirements
• 5+ years experience in Search Marketing and Analytics
• Strong knowledge of best practices of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies.
• Deep background in the technical elements of analytics including working with large, distributed data sets and a wide range of analytic methods.
• Experience in using web analytic tools, experience with SiteCatalyst and Google Analytics preferred.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Drupal experience desired.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills; able to review large amounts of data and to form hypotheses and draw meaningful patterns and insights from disparate data sources.
• Strong communication skills; able to clearly communicate and present findings/recommendations to team members and senior management.
• Strong critical thinking skills; able to understand goals and objectives of web products and projects and provide recommendations regarding how to using web metrics, customer feedback and market or industry benchmarks to monitor success towards goals and objectives.
• Excellent attention to detail, flexible, and adaptable to changes
