The shopper marketing team plays a critical role in helping shoppers on their path to better health by designing, testing, and implementing collaborative and proactive solutions to shopper needs and barriers while growing loyalty and providing a truly differentiated shopping experience.
The shopper is the starting and ending point of everything this team does as it works to understand and anticipate shopper’s needs and potential barriers. We then work as partners with a broad cross-functional group (i.e. merchandising, advertising, pricing, loyalty, operations) to strategically address and solve for these needs and/or barriers through the development of shopper marketing platforms, category, and total store solutions.
This person will partner with the senior marketing manager and our front store retail business areas to identify and solve for business opportunities through the development of insight based, shopper centric strategies and programs. They will also be responsible for supporting relationships with key CPG partners to collaboratively solve for joint business opportunities with a shopper first mindset. In addition this manager will have responsibility for supporting the handling of on-going marketing communications.
Supports the overall coordination of marketing plans for select front store business areas by supporting the development and execution of Shopper Based marketing strategies and programs.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Team with Senior Manager of Shopper Marketing to support the end-to-end strategic and co-marketing opportunities.
Team with Senior Manager on execution of marketing campaigns
Proactively works with Internal Teams (Merchandising, Consumer Insights and Retail Operations) along with CPG Partners to assist in identifying key shopper barriers and present solutions.
Work cross-functionally (both internally and externally) to ensure seamless integration and execution.
Partner with CPG partners to execute sales-driving cooperative brand-building and promotional strategies.
Proactive self-education around retail and marketing industry trends / best practices to identify opportunities that are consistent with, and reinforce the CVS Health brand.
Collaborates across shopper marketing (regional, planning, etc) and the broader marketing group (creative, media, account services, etc) in order to deliver integrated shopper marketing solutions.
