Shopper Marketing Associate / Customer Marketing Associate

Our client is seeking a contract to hire Shopper Marketing Associate to develop Shopper Marketing programs at Strategic and Tactical accounts and scale programs for Hispanic Independent accounts, including budgeting, planning, creative development, tracking, measurement, and display/POS management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Execution
• Develops Shopper Marketing programs for Strategic and Tactical accounts to support brand programs, including Scale programs, new item introductions, and base brand Shopper Marketing support
• Develops Scale Shopper Marketing programs for Hispanic Independent accounts
• Responds to Ad Hoc field support requests to support brands and/or Hispanic Independent accounts
• Creates asset toolkits to support Scale programs for Hispanic Independent accounts
• Collaborates on support for Hispanic Independent channel: Develops sell sheets & deploys materials (POS, display elements, etc.)
• Develops solid working relationships with Marketing teams at Hispanic Independent accounts
• Ensures accuracy of assets for scale and shopper programs
• Manages Shopper Marketing agency (providing budget guidance and creative feedback) in execution elements of Hispanic Shopper Marketing programs
• Manages program execution elements (generating bar codes, legal and regulatory approvals, providing design element approvals)
• Manages and administers budget, including PO requests, invoice processing, and tracking

Measurement & Analytics
• Pre Campaign: aligns with Marketing, CSD, and scale team on budget allocation, account prioritization, timing, and SKU prioritization
• Post Campaign: works with Field Account Managers and Sales Finance to collect appropriate data, conducts post-event analytics and evaluates program ROI
• Enters programs into PCE Tool
• Develops and maintains a Shopper Marketing program tracker

In-Store POS & Displays
• Works with multi-brand display team to provide briefs on IBD-specific display needs, including guidance and feedback on item mix, design elements, and additional elements (tear-pads, etc.)
• Collaborates with team on display sell-in and customer acceptance tracker
• Collaborates on display execution
• Develops and provides relevant Field Sales communication including presentations when relevant

Other job-related duties as assigned
• Collaborates with brand teams on developing Shopper Marketing components of Marketing Plans
• Participates in CAP development and presentations for IBD and Hispanic Scale

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to work with cross functional team
• Spanish language proficiency mandatory

• 1-3 years’ experience in Shopper Marketing, Field Sales, or sales analytics
• Strong field background and understanding of retail environment (Hispanic channel experience preferred)
• Significant interest in marketing
• Experience using Nielsen preferred
