My client is looking for a Consultant to join their Internal Communications team.

• Primary assignment will be to assist with a re-launch project to port their current intranet portal and major sites/content to Sharepoint 2013. This will include tasks related to change management, user acceptance testing, site creation, content creation, communication and training.
• Map current sites/content to new platform and assist with content inventory maintenance.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with intranet stakeholders; take notes, record action items and publish meeting minutes.
• Assist with working sessions with client advisors and/or content managers/tab owners and site owners – schedule working sessions, plan agenda, document action items and meeting minutes, track status and follow-up items.
• Provide advice and counsel to colleagues in the Internal Communication Client Advisory team and business content managers to help them plan and complete the migration of their sites to the new intranet platform and design.
• Execute user acceptance test scripts according to UAT plan.
• Create sites and content in accordance with content creation plan; assist others in doing the same.
• Partner with colleagues to develop innovative new tools for the intranet that will help inform, engage and excite employees. Tools may include executive blogs, videos and social collaboration tools/applications.
• Create Powerpoint decks that explain the intranet redesign effort for use in socialization presentations to site owners and content managers
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a communication or website management / intranet design role, preferably in a large corporate environment.
• Proficiency with SharePoint (ideally 2013, but at least 2010), including administration, web parts, site customization, and SharePoint Designer
• Working knowledge of design software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), HTML, Adobe Flash, Exact Target and Fatwire.
• Understanding of application development life cycle.
• Experience supporting social media initiatives within a corporate environment.
• Excellent communication and design skills.
• Experience with online collaboration and how it can help further internal communications.
• Must be proactive, creative and able to work under project deadline pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with all levels of an organization.
• Commitment to quality, accuracy and driving results.
• Ability to create and translate technical editorial content into a visually appealing finished product, with graphic and multimedia components as needed.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized with project management experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, plan ahead and anticipate needs.
• Ability to multitask and have the desire to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong collaborative skills and a positive/can-do attitude.
