Position Overview:

Lead the charge in defining a whole new user guidance experience for our company, the no code/low code application development platform which allows business users to rapidly create powerful business apps without the need for technical assistance or coding. By using language and placing information where the customer needs it, you will make complex ideas easy to understand and help our customers successfully complete their tasks and feel smart, confident and productive. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the product design lifecycle, from ideation to implementation of our Web, tablet and mobile offerings.

Responsibilities:

Help define new user guidance models
Create clear and engaging content in the UI and user guidance systems
Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, and QA in an agile development cycle
Conduct research to understand customer needs, envision solutions, and test prototypes
Validate and iterate on deliverables by performing content reviews, conducting usability testing, collecting and interpreting metrics, and responding to customer feedback
Help shape processes, patterns, and guidelines for content creation, tone, and governance
Author release notes for monthly product releases
Provide scripting guidance for in-product videos
Mentor content designers
Qualifications:

Online portfolio showcasing Web application and Mobile UX writing experience.
Demonstrated ability to speak our customers’ language and infuse creativity and new ideas into the customer experience, while leveraging style standards to produce a stellar customer experience.
In-depth, practical knowledge of modern user assistance principles and best practices, user research methodologies, Web 2.0 and Mobile industry standards and trends.
Experience writing for interactive web-based applications or products. Experience in writing for Mobile and Tablet devices is highly desirable.
Proven ability to take initiative anticipating, identifying, addressing, and resolving challenges.
Self-motivated to learn the business processes and user needs of any project.
Sufficient familiarity with HTML, CSS 3, and JavaScript to understand the impact of those technologies on the presentation of content prototypes.
Experience developing writing deliverables to effectively communicate content to stakeholders.
Experience working and building consensus in agile, cross-discipline teams incorporating creative, technology, strategy and marketing functions.
Ability to effectively negotiate conflict and persuade others on the merits of a design or other user experience solutions.
Ability to assess, prioritize and make trade-offs against business, technical, and user constraints.
Superior organizational and time-management skills; demonstrated effectiveness managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
