We are looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to own, grow, and improve the consumer-facing products for families and to develop innovative new shopping experiences for different age groups. This is an opportunity to help define the customer experience for families. You need to be well rounded in UX/IX and have proven experience working with stakeholders and multiple teams. You will be implementing designs using rapid immigration. You will do low res/high res design, build prototypes, user personas, wireframes, etc. (a visual background is helpful) You will not ONLY design, but work with other designers/stakeholders to incorporate feedback from various teams/orgs. MOBILE EXPERIENCE IS VERY IMPORTANT - you will be creating user personas for this new project. You will need to be able to use data to justify your decisions. You will also need to have a strong backbone and possess major leadership abilities.

As the Senior User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for turning product requirements into usable, useful, and delightful customer experiences. A successful candidate will have a passion for designing innovative user interfaces informed by customer research, industry best practices, and iterative testing. You will be able to explore multiple design solutions to a given problem or feature, and communicate those solutions visually through sketches, user flows, wireframes, functional prototypes, and/or high-fidelity designs, as necessary. You will possess excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, the ability to relentlessly advocate for the customer while delivering results in a fast-paced environment, and, of course, the desire to be part of a team that creates a new, exciting experience for families.

***There are 30+ teams closely involved in this project including a VP. This contractor needs to be very senior and be comfortable giving presentations.

Responsibilities:
Lead the full design process from concept development to wireframes to high-fidelity specs.
Present work to design and developer peers and facilitate feedback.
Present work to executive level management.
Proactively assess and recommend improvements to the user experience.
Visualize design problems and information in ways that are easy for other team members to comprehend.
Work creatively around difficult technical limitations.
A high level of attention to details.
Advocate for usability, design and innovation within the organization.
Stay current on emerging technologies and identify opportunities to incorporate best current thinking into product designs.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, graduate degree or comparable professional experience, including minimum 5-10+ years experience in UX design.
Deep understanding of user interface design and experience conducting user research and user testing.
Demonstrated strong visual design expertise with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant and exceedingly usable layouts and interactions and iconography.
A clear understanding of the design process.
A passion for design and new ideas.
Ability to synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders and explain and defend design choices.
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technology and best practices.


Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years experience in UX design
Ability to prototype in Axure, HTML, CSS
Talent for crafting imaginative and innovative design solutions while maintaining user expectations through pattern consistency and interaction harmony.
Track record of good time management, prioritizing projects and estimating work.
