Senior UX Designer

A client of ours in Washington, DC is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer that would be available to interview and start immediately. The ideal talent needs to have experience with user experience, information architecture and working on major campaigns and newsrooms. 5-10 years of experience is required and agency experience is an added bonus!



Job Responsibilities:

Leads UX/IA work on major campaigns and newsrooms


Senior with experience working across B2B sites, newsrooms, issues advocacy, consumer products, technology online magazines (a la Fast Company), and some data visualization storytelling


Understanding how SEO/SEM influences IA is important. And UX for responsive/adaptive mobile solutions


Finding ways to maximise the efficiency of workflow between development and design in an agile process


Collaboration to interpret business vision, requirements into scalable prototypes


Management for new initiatives, high caliber deliverables, implementation cycles


Serve as liaison to design & tech/dev teams


Define front-end business logic into transactional diagrams, flows, use cases for database-driven apps for network systems, mobile, tablet devices


Develop information and data classification schema, indices, meta-tagging, taxonomies


Deliverables: Wireframes of screens, storyboards, sitemap


Experience in managing deep content sites that align with the type of engagement business we are in. B2B, Brand, Social Marketing, Pharma and Tech


Creating sites of 50-100+ pages of content



Job Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience in UX


Ability to understand communication and translation of data through user experience


Someone who can be a conduit between production


Digital shops and/or agency experience preferred


Newsroom experience is ideal


Ability to show project ownership
