Senior UX Designer

Our client seeks an experienced Senior User Experience Designer to radically transform its customer experience and business.

Responsibilities:

Lead concept ideation and iteration with sketching, wire-frame development, prototypes and other tools
Represent the customer and push to create an easy, beautiful, consistent, and seamless user experience across platforms – desktop, mobile web, and in native mobile applications
Synthesize customer insights from quantitative and qualitative sources to inform iteration of customer experiences
Collaborate with product management, engineering, executives, and visual design to deliver designs in a fast-paced environment
Conduct customer research in various forms including lab studies, remote testing with usertesting.com, focus groups, and using other techniques as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:

At least 6 years of experience designing global on-line consumer workflows, information architectures, wireframes, process diagrams, and building rapid prototypes
Polished communication/presentation skills, including the ability to sell ideas to founders, executives, and other stakeholders; gently guide groups to make UX decisions
In-depth responsive design experience and documenting interaction standards for desktop and mobile platforms
A Portfolio demonstrating a strong, clean visual design sense, valuing usability, simplicity, and consistency
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey user journeys from end-to-end
Effectively work with a team of designers, product managers, business stakeholders, marketers, engineers, executives, and board members, including being able to receive and manage direct feedback from senior leaders
Strong time management skills and the ability to be self–directed when needed
Exceptional attention to detail

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Preference will be given to designers who can span interaction and visual design
Working understanding of front-end (HTML 5.0, CSS 4, JavaScript, etc.) and back-end technologies (databases, CMS, etc.) and their limitations/impact to user experience
Experience in using lean UX techniques to develop products
Experience planning and facilitating user research (both ethnographic and design focused) and usability tests
Ability to analyze metrics from Google Analytics
Love for crafting research based personas that are both memorable and accurate
Expertise in localizing user experiences
