Our client seeks to be Earth’s most customer-centric company and this position will shape the future experience for several of our Marketplace categories, including their Wine and Art Departments

This Senior UX Designer role will drive and communicate the experience vision for categories exclusive to the Client's main Marketplace, raising the bar on the work being done on shopping experience and Seller experience. The ideal candidate will take a metrics-based approach to develop best-in-class user experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.) in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and company leaders to successfully go from early stage product concepts and prototypes to launch. You are a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into a fantastic customer-focused solution. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.

Basic Qualifications
•7+ years professional experience as an interactive designer / user experience designer in large-scale B2C or SAAS products.
•3+ years experience as a Lead/Senior creative contributor.
•Strong user experience skill set including strategy, information architecture, and design aesthetic.
•An informed set of core values regarding user experience, technology, and business communication.
•An ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity and the bias for action to cut through that ambiguity.
•An online portfolio that demonstrates your ability to turn ideas into a strong and unique creative vision.
•Proven ability to work cross-groups and influencing senior management
•Expert skill level in the standard tools of the design trade, e.g. Photoshop, Fireworks, Omnigraffle, Axure, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.
•Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax.
•Bachelor’s Degree in the social sciences, design, HCI or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications
•Master's degree (Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or Engineering Management)
•Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating beautiful and user-friendly websites, mobile apps and/or business software.
•Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban).
•Self-directed: sets and meets deadlines, multi-tasks, and prioritizes.
•Makes smart and timely decisions. Understands when to own a decision and when to get input from others.
•Maintains a high degree of professionalism when communicating with internal customers and senior leadership.
