This is an awesome opportunity to work for a local company who specializes in creating innovative video tools for modern-day explorers to tell their stories of action, adventure, and travel.
Their product team is a close-knit, design-centric group of mechanical engineers, industrial designers, software developers, user experience designers, and product managers. The right person for them is a talented user experience/visual designer who understands the intersection of hardware/software and delivering the best possible and simplest user experience to our customers.
You should have/be:
First and foremost - Outstanding Visuals. You've either worked as a visual designer in the past or have a seriously refined design aesthetic and attention to detail.
User Interface/Experience Design - Flow, wireframing, boxes and arrows, great common sense and user empathy.
Cross-platform - Our software experiences span desktop, mobile, and web so experience designing for more than one of these is essential.
Managing chaos - You'll work on lots of stuff at once so experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, etc. is key.
Collaboration - Comfortable presenting your work to teams/execs, working with/incorporating feedback, and playing nice with engineers.
Passion - Be excited about action/outdoor sports and designing for that market. Bonus Points!
Video - experience working on web video or an understanding of video editing and motion graphics would be a plus.
Research – Experience designing and moderating usability tests or ethnographic research and synthesizing results.
Agile - We're iterative and release often and early. Experience incorporating iterative design methodologies is a plus.
