Product Designer 2  for Tools

We need a talented interaction designer for engineering team that builds this global tech giant's internal tools suite. The tools are essential to the company's revitalized approach to selling their software, apps, consoles and games to customers.

The product designer will report to a UX PM and will work with PMs and developers that build a suite of campaign, commerce and web publishing tools. The ideal candidate has deep experience delivering productivity software for web applications as well as desktop and mobile apps. Background knowledge of campaign management, online commerce and web publishing will be highly advantageous.

Our users are the people that design, build and publish the diverse online experiences you see in the company's web sites, our online store, and our broad range of devices. They demand flexible, intuitive and reliable tools that enable rapid build out, publishing and maintenance of online experiences, with a constant watch on live-site data to confirm success.

The designer must be able to process requirements and drive the feature envisioning process - quickly and confidently turning out sketches and wireframes tools for gaining consensus, and then moving on to defining end-to-end workflows with increasingly higher fidelity. The designer will be responsible for seeing a design through the development process to deployment, and will follow up with user interviews or lightweight usability testing. The designer will also be responsible for maintaining and growing our library of UX patterns, user personas and system taxonomy.

The following system feature areas and practice experience lists should give the candidate a feel for what we work with and how we approach it. Candidates should be able to demonstrate concentrations of experience in these areas, and the successful candidate will be expected to learn and grow skills in these areas on the job.

System feature areas:

• Campaign management
• Commerce - Product and SKU management and promotions
• Digital asset management
• Experimentation and Targeting
• Localization
• Reporting
• Workflow

Design practice experience:

• Accessibility standards for web applications
• Agile and Lean design and development methodologies
• Usability testing and interviewing processes
• User research, persona development and management
• Pattern and taxonomy library maintenance
