Senior UX Designer

A client in DC is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer for a project that is due to start in September. This position is a full-time contract offering 40 hours per week. Qualified talent must have a variety of government and commercial samples in their portfolio, be a self-starter and someone who can take on projects and run with them without any hand-holding. This is a client facing position, so this person needs to have great client facing skills and be very professional, have great presentation and be very detail oriented.

Responsibilities include:



Participate in stakeholder meetings


Prepare proposal for home page improvements based on stakeholder feedback


Compose design comps illustrating changes to home pages, highlights, success stories, popular topics, agency and division pages and contact information


Prepare design comps and the final website templates including fonts, images, colors and navigation elements for the site developers


Provide senior information architect support to site developers including CSS recommendations to support home page design


Conduct discovery meeting to gain better understanding of audience and use cases for forms, regulations and guidelines content


Compose wireframes illustration reorganization links/pages


Document and report on workflow process for form updates and translation process to determine level of effort to effectively manage process


Compose style guide outlining standard styles
