Senior UX Architect (contract)

Responsibilities:

  • Produce user experience deliverables including site maps, persona development, experience journey maps, user flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and features and functions specifications.
  • Perform heuristic evaluations and competitive audits on existing sites/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding.
  • Partner with Strategy and Research to prepare and conduct usability testing sessions as well as in-context behavioral research: analyze, synthesize and organize research data into meaningful themes, categories, and visually compelling user models and recommendations including personas, scenarios, and storyboards.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams, including content strategy, visual design, engineering, and program management to discover elegant and practical solutions to design challenges.
  • Rapidly produce multiple design concepts and prototypes in an agile work environment- knowing when to make low-fi sketches and when to apply attention to detail for production-ready wireframes with annotations.


  • Skills and experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as User Experience Architect, Interaction Designer, Information Architect, or similar role.
  • Expertise in broad spectrum of user-centered design activities including, requirements gathering and analysis, mood boarding, user research, heuristic reviews and competitive audits, usability testing, use case development, prototyping, information architecture, and sitemap and wireframe development.
  • Experience with mobile and responsive design, as well as experience with Adobe CS, Sketch, and prototyping tools such as InVision, Axure, and the like.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, Agile methodologies.
  • Enthusiasm for genuine collaboration with a smart, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience creating production-ready wireframes on an enterprise-wide project is a plus.
  • Financial, healthcare or government experience is a plus.
  • A strong portfolio with demonstrated examples of designing excellent user-centered experiences and applications is a must.
