Senior Tradeshow Specialist

The Senior Tradeshow Specialist leads Global Marketing tradeshows and events, as well as overseeing external vendor management in support of marketing initiatives. Assists in the development of the annual show plan and budget in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Collaborates cross-functionally, oversees projects, reports on trade show results, and recommends continuous improvements for maximum results.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with stakeholders to develop strategic event messaging and plan that integrates PR, web, social media, keynote presentations, internal communications and other assets required to support events.
Oversees events including , management of major booth assets, set-up and tear-down, event execution, staffing and training, integrated marketing and results reporting
Recommends and secures approval for event plan purchases including vendor bidding, purchase orders and budget-to-actual tracking
Follows event metrics/goals/benchmarks and track/report progress against them
Drives development of customer targeting strategies and customer experience plans and execute/monitor them with the lead ICM on each tradeshow
Coordinates updates to show materials and booth graphics as necessary including graphic design, printing and production
Recognizes current and changing trends that can be utilized to increase success for shows and events
Manages and tracks event expenses including budget-to-actual performance
Manages all show logistics including shipping/receiving of booth assets
Travels as needed to both domestic and international events to lead effective show participation, up to 30%


Skills:
5+ years executing trade shows or events within a marketing department required
3+ years project management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively produce concurrent deliverables and collaborate across business functions
Skilled at project management of multiple, concurrent activities to ensure completion within target dates, managing shifting priorities
Knowledgeable in, and successful history of managing external resources and suppliers
Knowledgeable of the graphic design and printing processes; able to give clear creative direction, develop and work within production timelines
Understanding of basic convention center logistics including shipping, vendor services, and rules/regulations
Highly organized, attentive to detail, deadline driven, and responsive to both internal and external stakeholders
Experience with budgets and understanding of basic accounting functions


Education:
B.A./B.S. degree in marketing or communications preferred, or equivalent years of work experience
