Senior Strategist

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Strategist with an established history to generate unique solutions and original strategies for both old and new clients. The Senior Strategist will develop positions and points-of-view for the Company, incorporating primary and secondary research and FPBR’s proprietary Trends. The position requires analytic and creative thinking, as well as the ability to assist in the production of insightful, concise and powerfully written decks.

Requirements:
-3+ years of client-facing Strategic experience in a supervisory capacity; 8+ years of business experience showing increasing responsibilities
-College degree with marketing or business focus preferred. MBA a plus
-Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience in designing and presenting marketing presentations/decks
-Has a sound, intuitive understanding of demographic, social and economic trends and the ability to substantiate intuition with strong analytic and probing
-Demonstrated success at managing complex projects and quantitative assignments
-Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative consumer research (e.g., focus groups, one-on-one interviews, quantitative research, development of discussion guides and research input).
-Proficiency in doing research on the internet.
-Ability to seek data/information from different sources; analyze, synthesize and arrive at logical and insightful conclusions.
-Strong interest in probing and learning
-Inspires trust and credibility internally and with clients

Responsibilities:
-Generate insights for client projects utilizing gathered research and data
-Synthesize multiple and diverse facts, data points, primary and secondary research and within a framework, analyze key points and develop a possible solution set
-Prepare for internal project kickoffs and internal team meetings
-Conduct preliminary research on the client’s business, space, and/or brand(s) that will be useful to the project team
-Read and summarize existent client research
-Implement research tools appropriately, maximizing their potential and understanding their limitations
-Organize and attend client research activities, reading and summarizing the insight reports and updating the project team with the findings
-Translate research objectives into a discussion guide
-Tell the brand/product/consumer story in writing as well as verbally
-Understand and direct various research methodologies both qualitative and quantitative
-Focus the team’s thought-progression and develop a POV for the client project
-Integrate and incorporate various sources of information into the client deck without losing sight of the project’s big picture
-Partner with Senior Consultants and Trend Analysts to deliver the project on time and within budget
-Inspire trust and credibility internally and with clients
-Write and articulate a compelling story for the client deliverable and sell the story to internal team as well as to client
-Present client deliverables in tandem with the Senior Consultant, articulating the strategic vision to the client
