Senior Service Designer

My client is an agency specialising in; Innovation Strategy, Experience Design, Foresight & Anthropological research, Brand Strategy. They are looking for a Senior Service Designer to work on global engagements from their London office.

The ideal person will be an inquisitive individual, capable of collaborating with colleagues and client teams alike. You will be passionate about solving innovation and service design challenges, and keen to continually develop yourself and others. A proactive and quick learner, you will also relish working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

Reporting to the Innovation Director, responsibilities will include:

• Leading relevant global projects as an authority in service design, managing team members, and be responsible for overall client satisfaction and project success

• Designing research approaches, insight generation, critical thinking, concept generation and development, design and prototyping

• Providing internal and external training on service design, design thinking and innovation tools and techniques, using your position as a true expert

• Identifying business opportunities within existing client organizations and work with new business teams to help identify and win new accounts

• Writing / contributing to proposals and pitches as well as the company website, in addition to presenting at relevant industry conferences

• Working with other senior consultants, and our Innovation Director to develop new, world class IP

Skills and Experience:

• A natural integrative thinker, capable of sense-making from disparate data, and reconciling commercial tensions with new creative solutions

• You will be happy to follow processes but comfortable dealing with ambiguity

• A strong visual storyteller, with good concept visualisation skills and proficient use of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint

• 7+ years of experience in service design consulting. You will have tackled a wide range of customer experience and innovation issues across a wide range of industry sectors

• Travel, Hospitality, Retail, and Automotive desired

• Fluent in design thinking and areas such as Service Blueprinting, Spatial Design, Business Design, UX/UI, HCD, design research methods, idea generation, service prototyping

• Great communications skills, with fluent English (written & spoken). Fluency in one other language preferred

• Experience of managing multi-disciplinary, global projects is a must
