Senior Sales Finance Analyst

This position supports Company with all internal operational & analytical aspects of MDF Sales Programs. The Sr. Industry Analyst leverages Sales data to understand information and publish findings to a cross-functional audience including Marketing, Field Sales, and Finance. This position will develop analysis, and assist in the budget planning for Top Five retail accounts and Channel Marketing.

Principle Duties / Responsibilities: <:b>
• Develop MDF Trade Program budget templates and process with Field Sales and Channel Marketing for Top Five Retail Account planning. Coordinate efforts and communication with Sales Planning and Forecasting.
• Own weekly, monthly, & quarterly reporting duties to both internal & external reporting customers, including but not limited to, reporting on MDF Planning & Sales Special Funds.
• Partner with Sr. Manager in the monthly timely & accurate publish of a Customer P&L by Platform. This includes publishing a P&L Projection (forecast) that gives each account fiscal year profit targets. The senior analyst will join in on and lead a bi-weekly sales call with each account to review profit targets and profit drivers for the reporting period.
• Bi-weekly update of Field Sales Forecast Latest Estimate (LE) for purposes of MDF accrual dollars calculation as it relates to MDF Planning.
• Tracking, requesting, & recordation of GL re-classes from Finance/Accounting, monthly tracking & recordation (in CCI) of Distributor Allowances.
• Forecast, review and analyze monthly SG&A costs and prepare reconciliations for related balance sheet accounts. Coordinate with Financial Planning & Analysis group and department representatives to develop department budgets and forecasts
• Assist in gathering required documentation & backup for activities sampled by Internal Audit group & external audit firm’s (currently PricewaterhouseMDFers PwC).
• Assist in update of SOX narratives for MDF & Price Protection processes, as well ensuring that all activites are in accordance with SOX requirement & that SOX controls are affected.
• Partner with Field Sales, Planners, & Finance to receive & analyze a monthly schedule of all post audit claims & ensure timely handling of these matter by Field Sales primarily. Take a MDF reserve as needed where applicable.
• Support Sr. Manager as needed on all & any special projects, assignments, etc.
• Reconcile payments with accounting/finance department on a monthly basis. The senior analyst will perform monthly payment true-ups to ensure that accounting is properly charging and accounting for payments made out of the MDF GL.
• The senior analyst will own MAP (minimum advertised price) Schedule and periodically update this to reflect current pricing. The senior analyst will also ensure that no activities get paid that violate the MAP Schedule without executive approval.

Required Knowledge / Skills:
• Interact professionally and communicate effectively with Fields Sales, internal departments (Finance, Legal, Retail Activation, Channel Marketing, Product Marketing, Operations) and external vendors (CCI, Market Advantage) and customers.
• Detail oriented; able to prioritize, meet deadlines, organize, and demonstrate basic analytical and reporting skills, and follow-through. Manage, report, and individual program agreements as needed; engage in ad hoc reporting, research, and projects.
• MicroSoft Office Suite: Advanced Excel Required: Ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS. MS Access a plus. Experience with Hyperion Planning. Other Applications: Oracle ERP & OBIA

Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
• Five to eight years of relevant work experience.
• A degree from a four-year college (i.e., BA, BS)

Preferred Experience / Education:
• Eight years of relevant work experience.
• A graduate degree from a four-year University (i.e., MBA, MS)
