Senior Sales & Marketing Manager

The purpose of the team is to help make the market for the product by generating and converting genuine consumer demand in the UK.

The Senior Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the trade and channel marketing with select customers; creating, developing and executing jointly with customers in-channel so that the team in the UK achieves its commercial targets (share, activations, revenue).

Key Objectives
- Implement and execute the Channel Marketing vision & strategy with the Head of Customer Marketing that deliver upon the set strategic objectives and sell-out targets.
- Execute the channel marketing vision and strategy based on strong channel, commercial and consumer insight.
- Deliver strong channel marketing joint campaigns, activities and initiatives within the distribution, retail and indirect sales channels

Main Responsibilities

- Responsible for creating the marketing strategy for a key operator accounts
- Develop relationships with key people in key account(s).
- Measures ROI and adapts strategy accordingly
- Manage agency briefing and budget for specific projects
- Anticipates internal and external business issues and developments and uses this knowledge for target setting, prioritisation and driving improvements.
- Responsible for customer account marketing spend, sales incentives and ROI
- Attend regular planning sessions with the wider business to understand commercial and marketing focus for the upcoming quarter.
- Co-ordinates day-to-day activities to meet account/project objectives.
- Update the Head of Customer Marketing on weekly basis with challenges, key activities and results

Essential Skills:
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to drive change
- Resourceful self-starter with experience in trade channel marketing and energy for proactive ideas.
- At least five years’ experience from either a sales or channel marketing role in technology or FMCG, or senior marketing operational experience from a relevant sector.
- Focus on accountability and ROI
- Proven ability to forecast and drive business opportunities
- Demonstrable experience across full marketing mix – ATL-BTL
- Commercial ability to produce business case and ROI on marketing spend
- Cost control and experience managing large, complex marketing budgets
- Emphasis on measurement and accountability
- Demonstrable leadership skills and non-silo approach to team work
- Analytical approach to using data and insight for ROI and market opportunity

Desirable Soft Skills:
- Experience in Mobile / Consumer Electronics, operator and retail channels
- Multi-tasker with ability to juggle multiple priorities and business demands
- Strong negotiating and relationship building skills
- Superior organisational logistics and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels
- Persuasive communication skills, with a strong ability to convince others of needs and opportunities
- Initiative and energy to present ideas proactively
- Passion for mobile, technology and creativity
- Ability to seek out and build relationships across the channel contract matrix
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Motivation to drive and deliver outstanding channel marketing strategies
