Tops in our "must-have" list are sharp analytical, forecasting and critical thinking skills; prior experience managing vendor relationships; and the ability to quantify and articulate ideas. The ideal candidate also has SEM experience: we'd love someone with hands-on experience with Google, Yahoo and MSN/Bing. What you'll do:
• Monitor multiple campaign results daily and optimize as necessary for leads, margin, and profitability
• Report on results two-to-three times weekly
• Perform deep analysis of performance data develop a plan to either grow an opportunity or to course-correct
• Investigate, identify and resolve day-to-day campaign performance issues, including writing and testing ad copy, account organization and structure, keyword bidding, keyword expansion, and landing page testing
• With the conversion rate team, develop a test plan to optimize landing pages for conversion rate and quality score
• Build and manage strong relationships with search engines and other vendors
• Monitor search market and communicate findings broadly to teams
• Confidently present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Assist in strategic planning to grow SEM business
• Forecast SEM contribution and results to overall business and site goals
• Create both bidding and campaign strategies to drive additional SEM traffic to ASD's suite of sites
• Provide mentorship to other the Search Marketing Specialists assigned with media campaign planning, execution, tracking and analysis
• Be the primary point of contact for all internal day-to-day SEM-related questions
• Identify new areas of growth within SEM
Essential skills and qualities:
• Proven ability to identify data trends and build long-term, strategic plans
• Experience managing a P&L
• Ability to forecast accurately
• Proven success in executing various bidding tactics to reach goals
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to multi task in a deadline-driven environment
• Proven success optimizing ad copy for increased CTR, CR, and QS
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Marketing, Business and/or Communication
• Qualified Google Advertising Professional, other engines a plus
• Self-directed and able to working independently, but recognizes the requirements of contributing in a team environment
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience with hands-on SEM management, including bidding, building, optimizing and analyzing Google and Yahoo PPC campaigns
• Experience with A/B or Multi-Variate testing and defining creative requirements for landing page or site testing preferred
• Experience with Omniture Search Center or other bid tools preferred
• Experience mentoring or managing team members preferred
